Turkey Day Updates

November 27, 2009

Nom, nom, nom. Turkey time is here again and proving to be a huge spanner thrown in to my works. Just a quick update on what’s coming down the pipes. I’m in the process of filling out the DPS survey that has been making the rounds this month. I’m also still trying to test CtH to see if it stacks with FI or any other damage boosting buffs. Well anyways, the turkey is done, and it’s back to the daily grind of family, gaming, and work. I hope you all had a great turkey feast and don’t forget to reload, so you don’t run out of ammo.

Pets, Pets, and More Pets

November 8, 2009

Damn you Blizzard! Damn you to hell! You know I can’t stand PUGs. I’ve been bitten, burned, bled and beaten by too many bad PUGs. Now, now, now with using the new LFG system enough, we can get a pug pet???  But only after we’ve PUGed with an unknown number of random people? This is going to be very, very painful, but yes that dog will be mine…

Then there’s the 2 new pets that you can buy. Lil K.T. and the Pandaren monk. I’ve already informed Wife, that yes, I pick up the monk this weekend. Now I’ve seen a lot of upset people complaining about Blizz selling pets. Ummm… yeah they’ve been doing that for a while, and don’t forget they’ve been selling mounts for a while also. Think I’m kidding? Well just head on over to eBay and look up WoW TCG, and see what you get… Hmmm spectral tigers, King monkeys, hippogriff hatchlings, goblin rocket mounts, giant chickens… Wow yup Blizz has NEVER done anything as underhanded as selling pets, mounts tabards, ect, ect before… To be honest, this is gonna save me money when it comes to getting those hard to find pets. I lucked out last week while I was in Wal-Mart last week. Sometimes they’ll have WoW cards there and I’ll pick a few up. Last week they had sealed boxes of booster packs there for only $26.00, so I picked up a few.  I found Bananas in the second box. See I don’t play the card game, I just want the loot cards and the point cards. Blizz has been doing micro transactions since the card game came out. They didn’t do anything that would break the game. I honestly think that those, like me, who collect pets would rather get them like this, than spending an unknown amount on the card game. As long as they stick to just vanity items, pets, mounts tabards, and various other small things that make the game fun, but doesn’t give give anyone an advantage, I think it’s a great idea. If you don’t agree, well that’s fine, we all have our own opinions and tastes and reasons why we like the game. So until next time don’t forget to reload so you don’t run out of ammo.
